What are your operating hours?
Our office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Our production facility operates 24 hours a day five days a week.
Can you do (insert your need here)?
We'd love to! If it involves paper or ink we can probably do it. Contact us and one of our pros will discuss your project and let you know if we can help.
What file formats do you accept?
Although we can work with just about anything you have, we prefer PDF, InDesign, QuarkXpress, Illustrator, Photoshop, or Freehand. We can also use Microsoft Office files, but they may require a little massaging to get them production ready. If you are using something other than the listed programs, let us know and we will try to accommodate you.
Do you have templates I can use while designing my job?
Check out our template library which includes pocket folder, envelope and various layout templates.
What resolution should my photos be?
In order for your product to be of the highest quality, your photos need to be a certain resolution. The rule of thumb is 2x the line screen of your job. Line screen is a technical printing term that you don't really need to worry about, so just be sure your photos are between 200 and 400 dots per inch at their final size. Our preflight department will double-check these for you and you will be contacted ASAP if we have any concerns.
What kind of proof will I receive?
We offer a variety of proof types depending on your need. For a typical project you will receive a set of color matched digital proofs and a double-sided proof cut and folded to the finished specifications of your job. We also offer electronic proofs for certain projects.
How well will my job match what I see on my monitor?
Most people are surprised at how well their job matches what they see. But because of wide differences in monitor calibration and the different technologies used, some printed colors may not exactly match the colors on your specific monitor. If your job is critical color, we will provide color matched digital proofs that will show you what your finished product will look like. If your project uses Pantone® colors, your sales professional can provide a swatch book to show you the exact color.
Will you match a proof I provide?
Our proofing system is matched to our presses using sophisticated software and hardware. Most people do not have access to such products and as such the color on your printer may not be truly accurate. If you are interested in getting your printer to be a closer match to us, we can provide color profiles and advice to help you get there. That being said, we will try our best to match a provided sample and if it is really critical to you, discuss scheduling a press check with your sales professional so that you can provide input during the color setup of your job.
How long will it take to receive my proof?
For a typical project, you will receive your proof within 24 hours of placing your order. Of course, complicated projects may take a little longer
What if I need to change something on my order after I have approved my proof?
Contact Us as soon as possible! We will attempt to accommodate your needs, but please note that depending on the stage of production your job is in, additional charges may apply.
What shipping options do you offer?
We offer local delivery to the metro Louisville, Kentucky area. We also offer UPS, FedEx, and DHL shipping. Your sales professional will provide shipping rates when you place your order.
